Francisco Vila, Recording Project Preview
From Francisco: In April of this year, I will be recording the famous Dvorak Cello Concerto with the Prague Philharmonia Orchestra, the only Hispanic cellist in recent times to have done a new recording of this work. Commercial recordings are the presentation card, increasing artist profile, and the number of concerts in a season. An iPalpiti artist since 2009, Francisco played with iPalpiti in LA festivals, Israel, Salzburg’s Mozarteum, Carnegie Hall, and beyond. In 2015, with an initial grant from iPalpiti, he established a festival in his native Ecuador, where hundreds of Latin American students benefit from educational and performing opportunities.
