Taisiya Losmakova
Born in Brest, Belarus in a family of musicians, Taisiya started playing violin at the age of 4. In 2010 she entered the Republican Gymnasium-College at Belarusian State Academy of Music, the class of Professor Eduard Kuchinsky. During this time, Taisiya became the laureate of international and national competitions, and was a soloist with the Belarusian State Philharmonic performing the Bruch Violin Concerto No.1. She also performed with chamber orchestra in Qatar, Germany and Belgium, and at Musica Mundi festival, playing alongside eminent musicians Maxim Vengerov and Misha Maisky.
From 2014 to 2019 Taisiya continued her education at Belarusian State Academy of Music in the class of Professor Regina Krivel, and served as Principal Second Violin of the Chamber Orchestra of the Belarusian State Academy of Music.
In 2016, Taisiya won a position in the ensemble of soloists “Classic-Avantgarde” of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society under the direction of Vladimir Baidov. In 2019, Taisiya joined the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, appointed as Concertmaster in 2020, and held this position until her move to the USA in 2021.
Taisiya recorded solos for CDs of Belarusian artists and actively participated in the Tritformat Theater project as a solo violinist. During the last several years Taisiya gained extensive concert experience in various genres – classical music, chamber music, pop music, rock music, jazz and theater music.
At the end of 2021, Taisiya has moved to the USA to start the next chapter of her musical path.
