Sinéad O’Halloran

A prizewinner of numerous competitions, both in Ireland and the USA, Sinéad O’Halloran is one of Ireland’s most exciting young musicians. After graduation from CIT Cork School of Music, she was offered an Artistic Merit Scholarship for a postgraduate Performer’s Diploma at SMU Meadows School of the Arts in Dallas, and currently works with Gregor Horsch (Principal cellist of Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) at the Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. Performing in many international festivals including Banff and Prussia Cove, Sinéad is a co-founder and Artistic Director of the Ortús Chamber Music Festival in Ireland. She tours regularly with the European Union Youth Orchestra, Spira Mirabilis and the Irish Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Bernard Haitink, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Vasily Petrenko. Sinéad is playing on a Robert Brewer Young cello, kindly on loan to her by Steven Isserlis. Sinead first joined iPalpiti on its Israel tour in November-December 2017.
