Winner of the awards in a number of competitions, home as well as abroad, including the International Dotzauer Competition in Dresden, the International String Instruments Competition “Talents for Europe”, the Kazimierz Wiłkomirski International Youth Cello Competition in Poznań, Gustaw graduated the Zenon Brzewski Secondary Music School, and from 2018 continues his studies at the Leopold Mozart Centre of the Augsburg University in the class of Prof. Julius Berger and Prof. Hyun-Jung Berger. He also has taken part in master courses run by outstanding professors from all around the world. So far, he has performed with suc orchestras as: The Orchestra of the Foundation for Early Music, under Paweł Osuchowski, The Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Iuventus under Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, The Slovak Sinfonietta Zilina State Chamber Orchestra under Serhiy Khorovets, and the Polish Radio Chamber Orchestra „AMADEUS” under Anna Duczmal-Mróz. He has participated in many concerts, in Poland as well as abroad, including the concert hall of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Ballroom of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Sinfonia Varsovia orchestra in Warsaw, the Auditorium Maximum of the Warsaw University, the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, and the Concert Hall of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing as well as the Concert Hall of the Forbidden City (Beijing). Gustaw has been recipient of grants from the National Fund for Children, the Foundation of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, and the Swiss Foundation ‘Kunst ohne Grenze’. From May 2018, Gustaw Bafeltowski is a Young Artist of the Scandinavian Cello School under the guidance of Prof. Jacob Shaw (iPalpiti alumnus) and in June 2021 was selected into “Yehudi Menuhin Society Live Music Now!” (Augsburg). This is his first season with iPalpiti.
