“…
an astounding demonstration of seamless and beauteous string playing…memorable,
luminous, deeply moving performance…”
–Los Angeles Times
(2000)
"Eduard Schmieder transforms young
professional players of his iPalpiti orchestra
into tomorrow's first-rank musicians."–THE STRAD, London (December
2004)
"..rich
sonorities [of iPalpiti] audibly took the audience’s breath away–especially
whenever concertmaster Peter Rainer,
whose technically immaculate tone throughout the night was sweet and thrilling,
had a few bars to play–
showed that iPalpiti had charms to soothe a hall well filled with music
lovers of all ages."–STRINGS
Magazine (2005)
"...iPalpiti offers a cool display of
virtuosity...unified to an often startling degree...a lush yet bracing, spot-on
performance
unencumbered by period performance pretensions..."–Los Angeles Times
(2006)
“…a fitting name for the vibrant string orchestra ...the ensemble was particularly noteworthy for its unity of purpose and blend. It was as if the musicians’ hearts were beating to the same buoyant rhythm…lustrous, polished tone and graceful phrasing.” -New York Times (2007)
"Young
Artists International is an organization that consists of active and practicing
musicians following the dictates of their conscience; i.e., their responsibility
to the younger generations."
–Lord
Yehudi Menuhin, Founding Member
"...Young
Artists International is a concept of great importance to the musical
scene... I therefore applaud and support this project with great enthusiasm and hope that all those who have genuine interest in music will give their
support and encouragement to this exciting event."
–Ida Haendel, Honorary President
Among the programs of iPalpiti Artists International, its
annual Festival
of International Laureates in Los Angeles is emerging as one of the nation's most significant music festivals and the subject of international accolades.
The prestigious journal STRAD devoted numerous enthusiastic coverage, and the
Los Angeles
Times acclaimed the Festival's "take-your-breath-away demonstrations of musicianship and technique."
Featuring selected prize-winning young professional musicians from around
the globe in the iPalpiti Orchestral Ensemble under
the direction of Eduard Schmieder, the Festival encourages artists to find their "own
voice," performing as iPalpiti Soloists in solo and chamber ensemble concerts.
iPalpiti has
been invited to many international destinations, has performed in the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam),
Carnegie Zankel Hall (New York), Nikkei Hall
(Tokyo), Mozarteum Grosse Hall (Salzburg), YMCA Jerusalem, Walt Disney
Concert Hall (Los Angeles), and invited resident ensemble in Carinthia,
Slovenia, Poland, Israel, and Martha Argerich Festival (Beppu, Japan).
iPalpiti Artists International offers
underwriting opportunities to corporations,
foundations and individuals who wish to associate themselves with one of Los
Angeles' great cultural events, one that celebrates classical music through
international cooperation and the inspiration of youthful talent.
A variety of different options are offered, from an exclusive underwriting of
the entire Festival 2008 to the "adoption" of an individual young artist.
iPalpiti Artists International is a non-profit, humanitarian organization that stands
on the belief that
"music is the spiritual factor which brings people together and
unites them irrespective of religion and culture, appealing to sublime senses."
Its mission creates a cultural network of the future and international understanding.
